Fall Fun

So we didn't really do much to celebrate Halloween this year.  We more just did a lot of fun fall activities.  She isn't old enough to care about candy.  I am cheap so I didn't want to waste money on a costume that would barely be worn and wouldn't even be used to trick or treat.  I just found a cute Halloween themed romper that she wore (even though by the time Halloween came around it was too small).

My favorite part about this season so far has been going out to the pumpkin patch and corn maze with Alethea. She is such a social baby and loves being outdoors so she had a blast.  We picked out a pumpkin for her Daddy to carve over at a friends house and we picked out a tiny pumpkin for her to paint.  So much fun!  She loved it!

She thought this was the funniest thing :-)

She loved the goats

We made it out of the maze :-)

Loving time with her Daddy

She loved standing up on the pumkin

My favorite pic of us...too bad it's sideways

Gotta have a giant chair pic :-)

Daddy's pumpkin was almost as big as Alethea!

Pumpkin carving

She wasn't quite sure what to think of this

Love this reaction

Time to taste it

All done!

Finished products :-)

Then on Halloween itself I dressed Alethea up in her romper and we went over to a friends house for a yummy dinner.  My mom also sent some light-up Halloween toys and a book.  So Alethea and her friend Molly had a blast playing with those, while Ben and I had a great time fellowshiping with friends. :-)

Boo!

Playing with her toys from Mamaw

Yum! ;-)

Distracted by the light up pumkin

Standing up next to Daddy and showing off her frog slippers...Can you tell she loves her Daddy? :-)

All in all I think Alethea's first fall has been packed with fun and we are looking forward to the good times continuing, especially when we visit family in KY for Thanksgiving!

*Sorry for some sideways pictures, I am not sure why it does that from some of the pics...any suggestions to fix it would be welcomed.*

  1. Super cute! I can't believe she's standing!

I don't know why your pictures are turning sideways! Unless they are sideways in your photo editor, but autocorrect for viewing but don't really changed their orientation. You could manually change their orientation and save as... if that's even the problem?

    love her baby pumpkin!

  2. Yah, it is really weird because they upload into Facebook just fine and it's only some photos that are portrait style that upload into blogspot wrong. I may try the save as just to see if that changes anything. Thanks!
