Then after presents we decided to go out to Olive Garden to celebrate her birthday. We joke that it is her favorite restaurant because she loves the bread sticks. She had a blast eating her pasta that I brought from home, devoured an entire bread stick (her birthday cake for the night), and she enjoyed all the attention she got from the waiter and those around. She is such a ham!

On Saturday February 25th we had her first birthday party. We had a great turn out of family as well as a few local friends. Her Grandma and Boppa (and Boppa's parents) came in from NY, her Uncle Camden and Uncle Cody came in from KY, Mamaw and Papaw were still in town, her cousins Gaggie, Bryant, and Jenny came down from Florence, her Aunt Rachel cam down from VA, and then her buddies Molly, Grant, and Grace came over with their families to help us celebrate. We were so blessed by all the family and friends that helped us celebrate a wonderful first year with our sweet little girl.
We had most of the family together for lunch and then everyone else arrived at around 4 for the party. Thankfully my mom was in town all week so she helped me get ready for the party. We had a fruit bowl, veggie tray, salsa and chips, Oreo truffles, and cookies. Then for Alethea's birthday cake we did banana cupcakes with a maple cream cheese frosting. I made one of the cupcakes bigger for her and she ate a little bit of it, but was much more interested in the fruit than anything. She isn't really a bit fan of sweets so far which I am totally fine with. Alethea was blessed with a ton of sweet gifts from family and friends as well. She loved opening the present and had a bit of help from her best buddy Molly. It was a long day, but Alethea did great and we all enjoyed getting to spend time with family and friends.
